We are excited to announce a new project. Nivata Koh Samui, Tapestry Collection by Hilton opens in August 2026 on the southwestern coast of Koh Samui. PCL Hospitality manages the property, and it joins our growing portfolio of branded resorts in Thailand.
This is a milestone project for two reasons. First, Nivata becomes the first Tapestry Collection resort in Thailand. Until now, the brand only existed in the country through Metropolis Suites Bangkok. Second, the project continues our long-standing partnership with Hilton. That partnership also includes the upcoming Hampton by Hilton Phuket Town the brand’s first property in Southeast Asia.
A different side of Koh Samui
Most travelers know Samui’s busy north and east coasts. Nivata sits on Taling-Ngam, the island’s quieter southwestern tip, low-density, sunset-facing, and home to the only mangrove forest on the island. The views from the property stretch across to Koh Tan and Koh Matsum, two of the smaller islands that punctuate the bay.
Samui International Airport is about 45 minutes away by road. Wat Kiri Wongharam and the Elephant Gate are a short drive. Meanwhile, Lamai and Chaweng stay within an hour’s reach for guests who want a night out. Still, the setting itself rewards staying put.
What guests can expect
Nivata is deliberately small. The resort offers 55 rooms across two floors. Inside, guests will find contemporary interiors with timber accents and views toward the sea or gardens.
Furthermore, the property includes three dining outlets an all-day restaurant and two bars. It also features two pools: a relaxed leisure pool and an infinity pool overlooking the sea. A spa and fitness center round out the wellness side.
Families are welcome at Nivata. For example, children five and under stay and eat breakfast free, while ages six to twelve receive a 50% discount. Complimentary WiFi runs throughout the property. As a Tapestry Collection property, Nivata also participates fully in Hilton Honors. Members earn and redeem points, use digital check-in, and access the digital key.

The PCL Hospitality × Hilton partnership
Hilton’s confidence in PCL Hospitality as a management partner reflects a decade of work building hotels across Thailand and the region. From the franchise-model success of Best Western Matter Tiwanon and white-label projects like Riva Vibe Hotel Bangkok and Rain Tree Khao Yai, the breadth of our portfolio is what allows us to take on a property as carefully positioned as Nivata.
For Nivata specifically, that experience translates into a clear operational philosophy: a small property in a quiet location succeeds on service detail, F&B quality, and a strong sense of place, not on scale. Those are exactly the levers PCL Hospitality is built to pull.
Why this opening matters
Koh Samui’s hotel landscape is heavily weighted toward two ends: large luxury resorts on the north coast and mid-market beach hotels around Chaweng and Lamai. The upscale-boutique middle, small, design-led properties with international-brand reliability has been underserved for years.
Tapestry Collection by Hilton is built precisely for that gap. With Nivata’s 55 rooms, southwestern positioning, and PCL Hospitality’s local operational depth, the opening signals a maturing of Samui’s hospitality offer toward more curated, lower-density experiences.
It also reflects PCL Hospitality’s broader growth trajectory: a five-year roadmap targeting 5,000 managed rooms by 2030, with international expansion already underway into Vietnam and Laos.
Looking ahead
Reservations are not yet open. Hilton’s property page currently lists August 2026 as the opening – the most current source until bookings go live. We’ll share updates as the date is confirmed and pre-opening offers become available.
